Too, close for comfort, yet no longer friends.
Impartiality has taken over and there is nothing left to be said.
I watched you grow, and now it is time to let go.
Release is good for the soul – and I hope that you fulfill your heart desires.
Enough crying – no more tears.
Cheer up girlfriend – the end is not near.
Love, Hate – such strong words.
No longer available to bear your burdens during the storms.
Life, such an interesting paradigm – shifting and turning
Even when you don’t realize – change is over the horizon.
No love left in me…no more to say.
Nevertheless, God above will indeed make a way…
Possibilities are abundance – new relationships to make.
Not gon’ cry no more – like Mary J. Blige would say.
Make the best of your flight – for NOW you are as FREE as a bird –

GREAT poem! There is nothing harder than growing apart from someone you were once very close to. You expressed it beautifully, yet still kept a positive vibe through a dark/negative situation.
Just had another thought too…I applied this inspiring word inward as a reflection of my new ‘self’ looking at the old and embracing the new changes and directions. Letting go of old comforts and habits also is hard to do even when their not all good. But there’s definitely a sense freedom and release in growth. As in Ephesians 17–24 which can be paraphrased as: you put out the old corrupt man and being renewed in mind and spirit put on the new man.
